2017 Annual Meeting

  • The Modern Honolulu

Registration

  • Click here to register for the event
  • Registration for State Chamber CEOs is included as part of your COSC dues, so there's no additional registration fee.
  • $200 TRAVEL STIPEND offered to each non-CEO state chamber staff attendee (to be reimbursed to the chamber after the event)
  • First non-CEO state chamber staff member is $545.
  • Second non-CEO state chamber staff member is FREE.
  • Third and all subsequent non-CEO staff chamber members are $545 each (but please remember there is a $200 travel stipend for all non-CEO staff that will be applied after the event).
  • Spouse/Guest(s) are $245 each

For example, if a state chamber registers its CEO plus three staff (4 total), the total investment would be $490: 2 staff registrations at $545 each ($1,090 total) less a $200 travel stipend for each non-CEO attendee ($600 credit).

We will invoice your chamber for the total registration amount for chamber CEOs/staff, less applicable travel stipends, AFTER the conference. We will invoice each individual for their spouse or guest(s). Spouses and guests are welcome at all meal functions and excursions.

Agenda
In conjunction with our colleagues at ASCP, we're well on our way to designing a robust program with sessions focused on providing deep value for state chamber CEOs, policy, political & government relations professionals, communications experts, and membership & marketing leadership. You'll find a live version of our latest draft agenda with session topics available here. This agenda will continue to be updated as we continue to fill it out over the next few weeks. Have a question or suggestion? Please contact Bill Kramer.

The meeting will convene on Sunday, August 20 with our Best & Worst Ideas Sessions for each individual group beginning at 1:30pm, and we’ll have our official conference welcome at 3:45pm. Sessions will conclude the morning of Wednesday, August 23. The COSC & ASCP Boards will meet the morning of August 20, and their respective Board & Past Chairs dinners will be held the evening of August 19. The dress code for the week is resort causal with the exception of business causal attire for the Awards Dinner.

2016 Annual Meeting

  • Barton Creek Resort & Spa

The 2016 COSC Annual Meeting will take place at the Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas, on October 5-7, 2016. This year, for the first time, in addition to meeting with our colleagues with the Association of State Chamber Professionals (ASCP) as we traditionally do, we are also combining our meeting with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Regional Government Affairs Conference.

By joining together, we will be able to deliver more robust training and opportunities to exchange information for CEOs, Government Affairs/Policy/Political professionals, Communications experts and our Membership/Marketing leaders. All attendees will be able to choose from programming tailored in four tracks aligned with these audiences. All of our traditional programming will continue—including the Best & Worst roundtables and annual awards dinner, with the first ever State Chamber of the Year award being presented.

Agenda highlights include Tom Donohue on the challenges and opportunities for the business community, Karen Hughes on leadership and communications, and 2016 elections outlook with Scott Reed. The agenda will also be jam-packed with valuable advocacy and communications workshops, a look at the implications of the presidential election, and interactive discussion on the issues that matter the most at the local, state, and federal levels.

The meeting will convene on Wednesday, October 5 at 11 am (CT) and conclude by noon on Friday, October 7. The COSC Board will meet the morning of October 5, and the Board & Past Chairs dinner will be held the evening of October 4.
