We encourage COSC members to add to our growing Resource Library. These are documents, links, or information that state chambers can utilize as a best practice across the industry.

  • Florida Chamber of Commerce - Florida 2030 Project: To prepare for this continued growth and ensure Florida remains successful, the Florida Chamber Foundation is leading the charge to write the blueprint for Florida’s future — Florida 2030. This two-year research program will stimulate strategic thinking about Florida’s future and engage business and community leaders in each of Florida’s 67 counties and identify key trends and the factors that can drive their regional economy. Florida 2030 is our opportunity to work together to strengthen your community, business and future. The future belongs to all Floridians and we need your help to plan for the future.

  • Indiana Chamber of Commerce - Indiana Vision 2025: A Plan for Hoosier Prosperity: In early 2012, the Indiana Chamber officially unveiled its new long-range economic development plan called Indiana Vision 2025. This third Report Card compares Indiana to the other states on more than 60 metrics that help measure progress toward 36 goals.

  • Kentucky Chamber of Commerce - Four Pillars for Prosperity: In the summer of 2015, the Kentucky Chamber published Four Pillars for Prosperity which suggested a new emphasis on issues that influence the state’s economy and on the actions that will chart a path toward success. The report details the state’s current and recent economic performance; the workforce, technological and economic trends affecting Kentucky; and the perspective of business leaders on issues that most affect their ability to succeed.   • Mississippi Economic Council (MEC) - Blueprint Mississippi: Blueprint Mississippi was an extensive one-year, $1.25 million research project focusing on 12 Blueprint States. The report looks at how Mississippi compares with the Blueprint States and how the state can better position itself for progress.

  • Missouri Chamber of Commerce - Missouri 2030: An Agenda to Lead: An Agenda to Lead is a bold, 15-year strategic plan developed by the Missouri Chamber Foundation to reposition Missouri as a global economic leader. We must secure our place as a global leader in key economic measurements such as workforce, infrastructure, entrepreneurism and business climate. 

  • Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry - Blueprint NebraskaBlueprint Nebraska, a statewide economic development plan, identifies the state’s manufacturing sector as one of its most promising economic growth opportunities.

  • North Carolina Chamber of Commerce - North Carolina Vision 2030: A Plan for Accelerating Job Growth and Securing North Carolina’s Future is a forward-thinking, initiative-driven plan that provides focused economic development strategies to create good jobs for North Carolinians. The North Carolina Chamber Foundation researches, analyzes and proposes solutions to our state’s most complex problems. North Carolina Vision 2030 is a comprehensive effort to produce reasonable solutions for the state’s most pressing economic challenges and transform North Carolina into a global jobs leader.

  • State Chamber of Oklahoma - OK2030: Moving Oklahoma Forward: We are excited to have been able to get OK2030 planned, launched and written within a one-year period. We received input from thousands of Oklahomans through our member survey, the OK2030 website, six regional forums and in-depth interviews with more than 150 business, community and government leaders.

  • Vermont Chamber of Commerce - Vermont Futures Project: The Vermont Futures Project promotes the long-term economic health of Vermont that provides opportunity for Vermonters. Through leadership, research and education, the Vermont Futures Project seeks to inform the conversation about Vermont’s economic future and demonstrate how a healthy economy contributes to Vermont’s vibrant communities and unique quality of life.

  • Virginia Chamber of Commerce - Blueprint Virginia 2025: Blueprint Virginia is a comprehensive initiative that provides business leadership, direction, and long-range economic planning for Virginia. Blueprint Virginia 2025 is a 2017 update to the original Blueprint Virginia that was adopted in 2013. 

  • Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) - The Future Wisconsin Project: The Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC) Foundation, along with its seven state partners, is working on a 20-year strategic plan for Wisconsin titled The Future Wisconsin Project. This plan aims to address issues facing Wisconsin over the coming years-a changing workforce, new and innovative technologies, infrastructure demands and more. Attendees of the 2014 Future Wisconsin Economic Summit identified six quality competitiveness indicators to indicate where Wisconsin stands. Over 45 benchmarks of those indicators were released December 11, 2015, at the second annual Future Wisconsin Economic Summit which shows Wisconsin ranks middle of the pack in the overall categories.
